I know it is early in the FA signing frenzy but I’m trying hard to be positive on what moves the Bills are making. To kick every thing off, very first we shed Poz to the Jags right out of the gate. Then find out he was supplied much less funds, was $ 7 million a year too much to pay almost certainly but that is what the market is paying. To lose a player that has been here for 4 years hurts…
Resigning Drayton Florence was a definite plus, especially since losing Poz, he keeps continuity and a veteran presence…
The Bills needed a back-up QB and that is precisely what they got in Thigpen absolutely nothing far more absolutely nothing less. I have to admit I was hoping that they would have at least talked to Vince Young and inquire about Kolb, McNabb or Palmer. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Fitz is the next Rich Gannon or Kurt Warner, players that were released and went on to prospere with other teams.
To me the signing of Brad Smith is a bit of a head scratcher given that the Bills have Spiller, Johnson, Parrish, Jackson, Evans etc. There is no doubt he is a great football player and a team can never ever have sufficient excellent football players. I’m getting a hypocrite since I employed the identical philosophy last year defending keeping Kyle Williams on the team when several wanted him traded and now I’m questioning the signing of the same kind of player.
I was seeking for the Bills to make a splash because they have to spend their surplus of money roughly $ 36 million under the cap. We really should know that the Bills would have to overpay to get a top tier free of charge agent but that is what occurs when the organization has a negative reputation. I would rather have them make an supply that a best tier FA couldn’t refuse then to have to overpay an average player to reach the cap numbers.
It is scary on what the Pats have pulled off in trading for Ocho Cinco and Haynesworth for low round draft picks plus their bounty of draft picks in 2011.
The Jets are in the hunt for DB Nnamdi Asomugha. I feel like I’m watching a chess match with the Pats & Jets, they both keep creating moves to counter each and every other.
The Phins have traded for RB Bush which need to add some excitement to their attack, plus they are working on trade for QB Orton.
The Bills have improved the roster but have they improved the on field team with the signing of Thigpen & Smith? We all know they need to have support at LB, O-line and TE (Bear’s Greg Olsen was traded) and however continue to struggle to sign the cream of the crop…
By early next week we shall know if the Bills pretenders in the totally free agency frenzy or are contenders for the Andrew Luck sweepstakes!!

The Titans had a couple of day to trade Vince Young and a $ 4.25 million roster bonus that would have come due on Friday. They couldn’t trade him, so they’ve cut him.
As expected, the Titans have released Young, the third pick in the 2006 draft.
The market is expected to be soft for Young. But here’s how we (or at least I) see it. There aren’t 32 quarterbacks in the league correct now far better than Young. So he need to be starting somewhere.
Look at Seattle. The Seahawks have Charlie Whitehurst and Tarvaris Jackson. Vince Young is greater, a lot more accomplished, and a lot more experienced than them?
And if any NFL coach knows what Vince Young can do, it is the guy whose hair got a little bit grayer whilst standing on the sidelines of the 2005 BCS national title game.

After reports emerged five years ago that Vince Young got only six of 50 questions correct on the Wonderlic test, conflicting information quickly emerged. It’s fitting, then, that a debate already has surfaced regarding the accuracy of the report that Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy got 48 right, as reported by Clarence E. Hill, Jr. of…

The Tennessee Titans might be a little rusty as they search for their first head coach since the end of the 1994 season, and their timing couldn’t be worse with a team that seems to be crumbling. First, they decided to trade or release quarterback Vince Young. Now, they’ve parted with Jeff Fisher after 16 full seasons as their head coach.
