Former NFL tight end helps save folks from van

Ben Patrick, a tight finish with the Cardinals from 2007 via 2010, produced a various kind of headline in Arizona more than the weekend.
Patrick helped pull a group of folks out of a van that had been flipped onto its side.
“My first believed was just to assist the men and women on the inside,” Patrick told KTVK-Tv. “I ran more than and I looked in the front window and everyone was laying sideways and I debated on kicking the window in, but I didn’t want to get glass more than everyone.”
Patrick knew that he had to act quickly, because he could smell gasoline. Patrick and other individuals had been in a position to pull every person out of the van.
Patrick spent 4 seasons with the Cardinals, beginning 20 regular-season games. He also caught a touchdown pass in Super Bowl XLIII.
Out of football in 2011, Patrick told KTVK that he hopes to sign with the Panthers for 2012.
