Particularly, Milloy mentioned (via seattlepi.com): “Charlie Whitehurst need to be our beginning QB opening day.” (Milloy later explained via Twitter that he employed “our” even though he’s not signed since “Seahawks are my home team regardless of if I’m on the field or not!”)
Milloy, who played at the University of Washington and grew up in Tacoma, later softened his stance.
“I promise I want TJack to do well,” Milloy stated. “Charlie Played his butt off to enable the Hawks a shot at the playoffs. two very good pre-[season] games deserves a shot.”
Coach Pete Carroll was asked about Milloy’s messages soon after Saturday night’s game. Per seattlepi.com, Carroll said he’d speak to Milloy about it privately.
Whitehurst opted to respond publicly. “He’s a great friend,” Whitehurst mentioned of Milloy, via seattlepi.com. “He’s a heck of a player. Like I mentioned, I’m just attempting to do whatever I can. Whatever takes place, hopefully it’ll be a productive year for the Seahawks.”
Jackson was installed as the starter only days right after signing with the Seahawks, even prior to he ever set foot on the practice field. Nonetheless this all turns out, 1 factor is fairly clear — Carroll will now be inclined to bring Milloy, who started all 18 games in 2010, back.
