Beanie Wells Expects to Play

 Beanie Wells expects to play

Cardinals running back Beanie Wells is listed as questionable for today’s game against the Seahawks and regarded as a game-time choice. But Wells sounds like he has already decided that he’s playing.

Asked if he’ll be at full speed for the Seahawks game, Wells stated, “Yeah, undoubtedly.”

Wells left Thursday’s practice early right after feeling tightness in his hamstring, and on Friday he was limited. But all indications are that the Cardinals were just getting cautious with Wells, and he can go right now.

Wells has carried the load for the Cardinals this season, with 32 carries for 183 yards and two touchdowns. The Cardinals’ other two running backs have hardly touched the ball: LaRod Stephens-Howling has three carries for 10 yards, and Chester Taylor has 1 carry for zero yards.

Louis Delmas Played in 2010 with a “Severe” Groin Injury

Louis Delmas played in 2010 with a severe groin injury

Last August, we’d heard that Lions safety Louis Delmas had a groin injury sufficiently severe to prompt consideration of surgery that would have knocked him out for the entire season.  The Lions predictably denied that the injury was severe, and Delmas ultimately did not undergo surgery.

Earlier right now, his agent Drew Rosenhaus disclosed via Twitter that Delmas indeed played the whole 2010 season with a “severe” groin injury.  “He is back to full speed and able to work out with no limitation,” Rosenhaus stated.

Delmas appeared on the injury report for the very first eight weeks of the season with a groin injury.  He missed only 1 game, in Week 16, due to a concussion.
