Spokesman: Ex-Penn State Coach Paterno in Serious Condition

Former Penn State coach Joe Paterno, who is battling lung cancer, is in severe condition after experiencing wellness complications, according to a family spokesman.

The Citizens’ Voice, citing a household member, mentioned Paterno was near death in State College, Pa.

Paterno, 85, has been hospitalized given that Jan. 13, beneath observation for what his household had known as minor complications from cancer treatments.
