The Ravens offensive line struggled last season right after becoming considered one of the better young groups in the league.
That means adjustments are coming, apparently starting with a demotion of free agent Chris Chester — if Chester returns to the team. Mike Preston of the Baltimore Sun writes that Chester, who started 14 games season at proper guard, will be brought back as a reserve center.
The Ravens want Chester to back up Matt Birk, who is entering his fourteenth season. Of course it is also possible one more team will give a decent contract to Chester considering he’s young (28) and has started 38 times for a winning teams over the last 3 years.
