There’s a new sheriff in Tampa. Greg Schiano does things a small differently on the field, and he’s starting to get rid of Tampa’s dilemma youngsters off the field.
PewterReport.com reports that the Bucs have dangled troubled cornerback Aqib Talib for a possible trade. Thus far, there have been no takers. (And we don’t anticipate any to emerge.)
The Buccaneers have been very patient with Talib by means of his various legal problems. He’s set to go on trial for aggravated assault with a handgun on June 25. Talib has also seen his last two years cut short by injury.
In brief, there’s no likelihood the Bucs will come across a taker for Talib with his trial up in the air. He’s a really talented player, but his play hasn’t been very constant as a pro. He’s entering the final year of his contract, and this news tends to make us wonder if the Bucs will just cut bait if they take a cornerback high in the draft.
The Buccaneers recently released safety Tanard Jackson, who had extended-running substance abuse problems. General manager Mark Dominik remains in place, but the team’s sudden want to get rid of the young players with legal troubles suggests Schiano is operating the show.

I admit, I’m not sure how very good he is anymore, Bucs fans – is this a great thing or poor issue?
Very good = up, Undesirable = down
Barber and Claiborne will hold down the Bucs secondary subsequent year although Talib holds down the secondary for the Mean Machine. Everybody wins.
HOF. No argument, if he played in a huge market it would be 1st ballot no question. Sapp, Brooks, Barber, Lynch. HOF.
Tiki is flabbergasted!
