It’s been a rough week for 49ers tackle Anthony Davis. On Sunday against Philly, Davis was beat by Jason Babin twice on sacks.
The league added insult to injury Thursday when they notified Davis he owed $ 25,000 for a pair of leg whipping penalties in the game, according to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com.
Babin, who also fined for hitting Alex Smith, went off about the problem on Twitter:
“Attn:Guy at the NFL that decides on who and how a lot players get fined Quit getting a puppet, if you want to shield QB’s, get better linemen,” Babin wrote.
The 49ers probably agree with the sentiment. They need to have an upgrade from Davis.

Dr. Anthony Galea, a Canadian HGH disciple who allegedly smuggled the drug into the U.S., will enter a guilty plea next week, according to Phil Fairbanks of the Buffalo News.
Galea is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, July 6.
His patients have included numerous pro athletes, including golfer Tiger Woods and Redskins receiver Santana Moss.
The certain charges to which Galea will plead guilty aren’t but identified. It’s also not known no matter whether he will identify particular athletes to whom HGH or other illegal substances were supplied.
Typically, the justice program attempts to move upstream in circumstances involving illegal drugs. In this case, even so, the prospective impact of outing pro athletes upon the ongoing use of such substances could justify an attempt to squeeze the supplier into ratting out his consumers.

Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher, who most lately complained about the turf at Soldier Field, the trip to London, and the bow tie of Dhani Jones, took a much more positive approach on Friday, when he publicly known as for the team to re-sign a pair of its looming free of charge agents.
“The two guys I feel we gotta get — and I’m hoping I’m not leaving anybody out because we have a few no cost agents — but [defensive tackle] Anthony Adams and [center] Olin Kreutz,” Urlacher told Ross Tucker and Jim Miller of SiriusXM NFL Radio. “Olin’s the leader of our locker room, the leader of our offensive line. He takes all the heat, man, when issues go bad up front everybody points the finger at him which is not fair. And he takes the heat, he doesn’t hang guys out to dry, he takes the heat.
“Double A, Anthony Adams, is a excellent player,” Urlacher stated. “He’s often in his gap, he’s often up the field producing plays, and he’s a excellent teammate. Men and women do not realize, man, you get these guys who, at times they’re turds and they’re excellent players and so they’re hard to deal with. He’s not. He’s a enjoyable guy to be about. He’s a wonderful player.”
To summarize, then: (1) Kreutz, takes the heat (two) Adams, not a turd.
As to anyone Urlacher may possibly have omitted, there aren’t numerous. Danieal Manning tops the list of other free agents on defense. On offense, receivers Devin Aromashadu and Rashied Davis will be free agents, as will tight end Desmond Clark. Right after losing to the Packers in the NFC title game, coach Lovie Smith said there’s “no reason” to break up the team now. (And then the next month they cut defensive tackle Tommie Harris, linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer, and offensive tackle Kevin Shaffer.)
