A day soon after it became clear that the Bears and veteran center Olin Kreutz wouldn’t be able to come to terms, a new veteran center is coming to town.
The Bears have announced that they agreed to terms with center Chris Spencer on a two-year deal.
Spencer has spent his whole six-year career with the Seahawks, and he began all 16 games in Seattle final year.
Tim Ruskell, the Bears’ assistant common manager, was the Seahawks’ common manager in 2005 when they chose Spencer in the 1st round of the NFL draft.
