The discomfort Tim Tebow endured in Saturday’s AFC divisional playoff loss to the New England Patriots was a lot more than emotional.
The Denver Broncos quarterback reportedly suffered numerous injuries after he was hit in the pocket during the third quarter of the 45-ten defeat, ESPN.com reported Wednesday.
Tebow tore cartilage along his rib and bruised a lung whilst suffering fluid buildup in his pleural cavity, a league source told the website.
Tebow, who was 9-for-26 passing for 136 yards against New England, seasoned difficulty sleeping more than the weekend since of the discomfort and underwent an MRI on his chest on Monday, followed by rehab this week.
It doesn’t appear Tebow will be down for extended. He told The Denver Post on Tuesday that he’s currently missing day-to-day practices, not to mention the games.
“I was going crazy (Monday),” he said.
