We mentioned after the Giants signed receiver Brandon Stokley that the veteran won a contest amongst several possible slot receivers.
Per a league source, the other receivers were T.J. Houshmandzadeh (pictured), David Clowney, and Tiquan Underwood.
The Giants also brought in quarterback Dan LeFevour that identical day, to throw to the four candidates.
Stokley has been solid, but it is surprising that he’d win a job more than Houshmandzadeh.
